The Health & Wellness Workshops will be intimate, experiential and interactive, with practical advice and information to help you in your daily life. The talks are free.

Lisa is an integrated wellness coach and counsellor. Her philosophy is to GET CONNECTED and GET REAL. So often we think wellness is about being perfect or just has physical connotations but the truth is real wellness is learning to accept yourself, integrate your emotions and process change. She works with clients to integrate real and sustainable behavioural change.

Apart from her practice, she is a freelance writer, author and key partner to the Medispace wellness institute. She learnt innovative thinking not through her honours degree but rather the school of life and has overcome a few problems of her own.



Claire Julsing Strydom, RD (SA) has completed her Master of Science degree in Dietetics through the University of the Free State. Her masters focused on the effects of antiretrovirals on nutritional status in HIV infected adults.

Claire has extensive experience in corporate wellness and has presented nutrition intervention programs and nutrition presentations for various organisations such as Investec, NMG, Kelloggs, Discovery Vitality, Databuild, Nedbank and Fine and Country.

She consults to the media and has written for and consulted to numerous magazines and news papers including; Business Day, Shape, Men’s Health, Longevity, Femina, Cosmopolitan, The Star, Your Child, Your Pregnancy, Medical Chronicle, Specialist Forum and many more.

Claire has been involved in school nutrition intervention programs and has provided initiatives for the Oprah Winfrey Leadership Academy, St John’s College and DSG. She is registered with the Health Professions Council of South Africa, The American Dietetic Association and holds the communications portfolio on the Association for Dietetics in South Africa’s South Gauteng Branch.

How to optimise your nutrient intake now – become your healthiest you:

International dietary guidelines have emphasized the importance of improving overall nutrient quality in the diet. So often we eat the same types of food and don’t include a variety of nutrients in the diet. This presentation will focus on highlighting key nutrients that should be included in the diet regularly and give you insight to understand where your short falls are. Portion control, understanding labels, the importance of energy balance and nutrient dilution will also be discussed.

Laura’s work promotes successful performance, by helping people develop personal insight and interpersonal skill. When not working or completing her Industrial Psychology Masters, she scares herself witless on her mountain bike.





Lifestyle and wellness expert, Lisa Raleigh, known for her role as the winning team trainer on SA’s The Biggest Loser, is currently featuring on SABC 3’s popular new health programme, Hello Doctor. Lisa has since completed co-writing her first top-seller, No Fries On Us, with Supersport’s Darren Scott, documenting his recent 40kg weightloss and life transformation through Lisa’s 12 week programme. Her passion is to spread her knowledge of health and fitness to the widest audience possible, and equip individuals with the tools they need to start living their very best lives.


Zhineng Qigong (ZQ) is known as one of the most effective Qigong forms in China. In an easy way you learn to use your mind intentions combining them with simple movements to create physical, emotional and mental health, stability and well-being. Having learnt her craft in China and Europe, ZQ Teacher Britta Stalling is looking forward to meeting you for an inspiring and uplifting experience in the SHAPE workshop at the LFGE.






Anjana’s vision is to help people achieving the pinnacle of true congenial soul, inner peace, a new sense of being and ultimate bliss. This is her life’s purpose.

A BCom graduate in Economics and Industrial Psychology experienced as a Business Consultant, Project Manager and Business Analyst within the South African Banking, Financial services and Insurance industry. While working in all these industries, instinctively she knew that she was meant to do something great and beyond herself. She left the corporate world and ventured to seek her true calling: Laughter Yoga and Wellness Coaching!

The journey of life can be very difficult and Anjana believes that laughter is a great way to unwind the harmful effects of stress and strains of daily life- physically, emotionally and mentally. Laughter is one of the most economical and easy-to-practice anti-Stress measures. It also helps develop self-confidence as it reduces inhibitions and improves communication with people. Laughter creates a happy body and stable mind that chase away all the melancholy, sadness and fears
